As the largest high school in Fort Wayne, Northrop High School is a place where tradition, excellence and community spirit come together. Since opening our doors in 1971, we’ve built a legacy of achievement in academics, athletics and the performing arts.

With 16 state titles, including a nation-leading five consecutive championships in Girls Track & Field, our athletes exemplify dedication and teamwork.
Proud Traditions
Whenever a Bruin team advances to state, the entire school celebrates with a send-off parade, complete with the marching band.
Academics
At Northrop, students are prepared for success beyond high school through diverse and challenging learning pathways.

We offer 26 dual credit courses, allowing students to earn college credit while still in high school.

Through our partnership with Purdue University Fort Wayne, students can complete the Indiana College Core, earning their first year of college—tuition free from Purdue University.

We take pride in recognizing our students’ achievements both in and out of the classroom.

Each month, we honor Students of the Week & Month within our Schools of Success based on the core competencies of our Portrait of a Graduate.

Every spring, more than 500 graduates proudly walk down Cook Road, visiting Shawnee Middle School and Lincoln Elementary, to of our main feeder schools, to inspire the next generation of Bruins and get them excited about their future here at Northrop.

Our Quarter Century Club celebrates teachers and staff who have dedicated 25 years or more to serving our students.

Each fall, the entire student body gathers for a pep sessions to celebrate athletics and enjoy a performance from the marching band.

Before Spring Break, the annual Student vs. Staff Basketball Game raises funds for Riley Children's Hospital showcasing our Bruin heart.
